Reverse Engineering

Our Process

Reverse engineering is often a pivotal initial step in product development, serving as a foundational process that allows for innovation on existing designs. At Egida Labs, our engineers possess extensive expertise in 3D scanning technologies and are adept at manipulating 3D scanning outputs to create the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models that are essential for advancing your project.

Egida Labs takes advantage of a network of U.S. based 3D scanning service providers. This strategic alliance allows us to offer 3D scanning solutions that are not only convenient but also tailored to meet the specific needs of your project. By utilizing local service providers, we ensure a seamless and efficient process, from the initial data capture to the final CAD development.

Once we have obtained the 3D scans, our team of engineers engages in a meticulous validation process alongside our U.S. based partners. This collaboration ensures that the scanned data is a precise reflection of the original product. Throughout this process, our engineers apply their experience and skill to ensure that the resulting CAD models are not only accurate but also customized to meet the unique demands of your project.
If the object needing to be scanned can be ordered or shipped to our Indian office, we have a full suite of 3D scanners and technicians ready to capture the data. Delivering exceptional service at economical prices is a core part of our mission, and we’ll work with you to ensure that we choose a strategy that perfectly matches your individual project.

During the CAD development process, our team employs their expertise in a diverse variety of software tools, including SolidWorks, Creo, Catia, DesignX, Inventor, and Siemens NX.

Our team has experience in reverse-engineering products for a wide variety of applications, including competitor analysis, quality control, legacy part replication, prototype development, intellectual property analysis, and engineering validation.
